I wasn’t always Passionate About Men’s Health. I was just minding my own business until I turned forty and stuff started hurting in weird places for no reason whatsoever. All of a sudden I was two hundred pounds (not good on a 5’10” frame). I was tired and hungry all the time, I couldn’t recover from activities like I used to, and I had little kids who needed their dad to be able to keep up with them.
I became acutely aware of guys my age being diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, heart disease, low testosterone, and erectile dysfunction. Guys my age were on multiple medications and were miserable. Was this how life was supposed to go?
I changed my diet and how I exercised. I lost fifty pounds and had more energy than when I was in my twenties. I started asking why American men seemed doomed to develop these chronic health issues and became intent on helping men to get healthier.
Please join me on this journey to better health and better living. We don’t have to go down the road to chronic disease. We can do better! Let me help you to understand why these things happen and what we can do to fix it.
In good health,
Jonathan W. Agins, M.D.
